We are pleased to announce that AAP Finance Brokers has recently acquired a mortgage client book covering the Sunshine Coast region of Queensland, following Kate Muir’s decision to retire from the industry after more than 10 years of service.

We warmly welcome our Queensland clients to AAP Finance Brokers and reassure you that there are no changes to your existing lending arrangements. As part of our commitment to the southeast Queensland region, we are establishing a representative presence in Caloundra, with plans for a future office on the Gold Coast.

Tony Haworth brings extensive experience across commercial, residential and risk banking, with a career that began in 1985. His work has taken him across Australia, the Cook Islands, Indonesia, Vietnam and Hong Kong, including senior regional management roles with ANZ Bank. These roles gave Tony detailed insight into Asian, European and US markets, which now informs the advice and perspective he brings to clients.

Outside finance, Tony is active in local tennis and volunteers his time on both the Gosford and regional tennis committees.

Ben Butler is a Gold Coast-based finance professional with a background in business, customer service and sport. Originally from Inverell, NSW, Ben joined AAP Finance Brokers in 2026 to continue learning and building his career in finance while completing his Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking.

Before moving into finance broking, Ben studied in Indiana in the United States and completed a Bachelor of Business and Enterprise at Southern Cross University. He is passionate about helping clients find finance solutions that suit their needs. Ben’s sporting interests include golf, and alongside his studies he also works at the Palm Meadows Golf Course Pro Shop.
